Almost perfectApr 02, 2011

I have been trying to find a great old fashioned wiener, like the kind I use to eat when I was a kid. Schwan's home delivery had some fantastic ones for a couple years, but they have been discontinued. They were the best that I have found - so far.
The Bavaria Old Fashion Wieners are pretty close, and are very tasty. I like them better than the Boars Head natural casing wieners - available in most supermarkets.
They were shipped in a Styrofoam lined box, with "blue ice" type freeze bricks to keep them cold.
Excellent service and very tasty!

Great FoodAug 24, 2006
By Harriett Fournier Natural casing wieners have always been a favorite and difficult to find. The price of the wieners was reasonable, but the freight was a "killer".

Made a great gift!Feb 02, 2006
By Zachary Myles Snyder This made me quite the star at my family's Chanukah party this past season when I gave my 83 year-old German uncle a case of these. He said it reminded him of his childhood days in Munich. Although I don't like the way these doggies taste, it sure was nice to see that pleasant man smile at the sight of a wiener gift! I love giving thought to holiday gift giving. I can honestly say this is the first time I've given wieners as a gift. LOL!
