Our extra virgin olive oil has been aged slowly with black truffles. The oil is then filtered and any sediment is removed. The sparkling clear oil should be used sparingly. Enjoy the taste of this gourmet jewel over eggs, in sauces and sprinkled on fine cheese. Here's what one of our customers had to say about our black truffle oil: "I am addicted to your truffle oil. I have tried others that people said were great, but none compare to yours."

Excellent TasteFeb 20, 2010 This oil though not from actual truffles has a fantastic aroma it is strong so only a few drops are needed to give a delicious finishing taste to sauces pizza and or whatever you want to put it on. I got the smaller bottle and I am kicking myself for not shelling out a few more bucks. Whoever is claiming that its not good or only three stars is a moron who doesn;t know anything, Once again it is not from real truffles but does taste a hell of a lot like them. Black has a pungent aroma, and the white is more sophisticated and cleaner taste.

I never cooked with truffle oil before and for a good reasonJan 14, 2010 This oil has a very strong pungent smell. You only need very little in a dish. It adds flavor, but if you're not used to it, it's a little weird. I'd go for white truffle oil instead. It's a little bit lighter and less pungent.

The real dealNov 23, 2009 After I had a pizza with truffles and porcini mushrooms in a small town in Tuscany, I was a committed truffle fan.
And the deal was already sealed when I had potato chips with truffle oil.
It was with at least those two things in mind that I started looking for truffle oil. My first attempt was La Tourangelle (see my review on Amazon). You really have to work to find the truffle essence in the Tourangelle version.
But, JR's La Truffiere is the real deal. Pungent, garlicky, and very powerful. I've only tried two different truffle oils, but I'll risk giving this one a five star rating since I can't imagine a better version.

Worth the priceApr 13, 2009 The smaller sized bottle is perfect for someone who would like to sample the taste before purchasing a larger size. A little goes a long way. Tasty and flavorful--I think it's better used in cold dishes like salads instead of hot dishes where the flavor can get lost. Delivery was fast and I would purchase other products from this company.

Tickles your tongue and purseFeb 05, 2009 Some of this stuff can get rather expensive but this particular brand is the most cost effective product of its kind that I have come across and it still delivers the unique and delicious flavor you are looking for. I was a bit skeptical at first, due to the price, but after tasting it at a friend's house, I became a true believer. Like another reviewer here, I add a dash to steamed veggies and a wee bit to some of my salad dressings and to be frank, it will tickle your tongue while knocking your socks off. The best part is that you get all this quality and you do not have to lay awake at nights worrying about what you spent on the stuff.
