Awesome Recipe!Feb 21, 2010
I had planned on making monkey bread from scratch, but serendepitously, I discovered this mix on Amazon. It tasted absolutely amazing! It was really easy to make - you make it from scratch, but the package provides all the ingredients. The dough rose really, really well and the cinnamon sugar combo was the best I've ever tasted. This monkey bread has made me swear off Cinnabon forever. It really is just as good as anything I've had commercially made!

About a year ago, a my favorite Aunti prepared 'Monkey Bread' for breakfast for us one morning while we were visiting her home. She is a fabulous cook, so while we enjoyed every tastie morsel of her sinfully delicious bread, I resigned myself to never being able to enjoy it at home, as I will never be the skilled baker that she is.
Then, one day, while poking around here on Amazon, under bread mixes, I saw Monkey Bread mix. It looked just like the sweet sticky bread my Aunti had prepared. I decided to purchase a box and give it a try. Well, it was easy as can be and the kids loved helping me with rolling the pieces in cinnimon sugar. The kit includes everything. We cooked ours in a bundt pan [so tat is what that pan is for?!]. The results were amazing! The kids, my husband and everyone else who was lucky enough to be here when this was prepared, has been begging me to 'hurry up' and order more. In fact, our 17yr old son has declared the "Amazon" monkey bread is our new holiday breakfast entree tradition!

All the ingredients you need to make incredible Monkey Bread. Everything including the yeast is the best you can buy. The finished product is scrumptious (best to have several people when you serve it, otherwise you might eat the whole thing!). The instructions are easy to follow. If you buy several at one time the shipping charge is very reasonble.
