Better grapeleaves!Jan 04, 2011
By Colorist I've purchased canned dolma for many years, various brands, sizes, and I really think this is by far the best. I still have a few left from a December 19 party, and each little bundle is a delicious addition to whatever leftovers one has around. It does not have to be a fancy dinner; just add some of these with some raw vegatables and any old main dish will do!! This brand has a lemony-ish sauce, and the leaves are less tough than some others. The rice is fine. The bundles are plump and not too long. There is a Greek restaurant not far from me that serves grapeleaves of course; whether the meat and rice type or plain rice, the result is tough, tough, tough, an insult. Do yourself a favor and just buy these; they keep forever in a good tight tupperware container later on.
