mmmm....good...Dec 25, 2009

Everything started when my favorite supermarket stopped carrying my Taramosalata...What a shame! To make my order worthwhile, I ordered 2 jars, because just for one, the shipping is more expensive than then content! But that's fine (to get 2 jars)because the expiration date was in about 1 year, so obviously I have plenty of time to eat both of them. The taramosalata was as tasty as usual- no disappointments there. The shipping was fast. Would order again.
Nooooo! Unless you like warmed up Taramasalata...May 04, 2012
By LaBohémienne The first jar i received came out all warm. It was packaged with one little ice pack that had completely melted and was itself warm. There wasn't even moisture in the package! So i figured i'd call the seller and let them know about it. The lady was very nice, apologized about the problem and told me they'd ship me another jar at no extra cost to me, which they did. Yay, right? WRONG! I received yet another warm jar of a highly perishable product that needs to be kept refrigerated! How you ask? The shipping took 3 DAYS with no special packaging other than 3 small ice packs and bubble wrap, when average temperatures ran around 82 degrees! I suppose that it is an improvement over the FIVE DAYS it took the initial jar to reach me. All the same i am not gambling my health (and taste buds, yuck!) with warm taramosalata! I threw both jars away and made myself the solemn promise never to order ANYTHING from this seller again. When i order food online i intend to enjoy it! The 2 stars are only because the seller was courteous.
Not really taramosalataApr 27, 2012
By Cadillac Lou Do not buy this product. Instead buy the tarama made by the same company, Krinos. Taramosalata is supposed to be a mixture of tarama (carp roe) and either bread or potato as a filler, plus olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, or whatever your recipe calls for. This stuff, which calls itself taramosalata, is tarama mixed with water and canola oil to stretch it. You get a product which, however nice tasting, has 60 calories and 6 grams of fat in a TABLESPOON! Buy the tarama and make the taramosalata yourself.

Incredible high cost for shipping !!!Jan 28, 2012

Unbelievable rip off !! The shipping is four times the value of the product ! Do not even matter how good the product might be as long as you have to pay a price that that you could buy black caviar. Is not justified the enormous price for a jar of caviar - it does not require special handling or transport conditions..
Item Subtotal : $4.99 Shipping & Handling : $17.15 Total : $22.14 Paid by Mastercard: $22.14
