Since I'm always looking for ideas for new combinations or unique desserts, it's not uncommon for me to find inspiration in the most unexpected moments. For instance, this recipe was created when I heard that my friend's wife, Rae, loved Jack Daniel's Whiskey and Chocolate. So I went to work. A great deal of cocoa and a bottle of Jack later, she loved it. If you're fan of heavier textured cakes, deep chocolate flavor and of course, distilled whiskey - I guess I created it for you too!
It is great on its own or with whipped cream or ice cream.

This cake was awesome! I was expecting a very dry cake, like a lot of gluten-free items but this was moist and rich. Rise & Shine is the best!
