Great Gift item, or for use at homeFeb 08, 2008

This little Italian set is a perfect gift for yourself or others. It is a great price, and the product is very high quality. It doesn't come in a gift basket, and that was the disappointing part. It came as raw bottles wrapped in bubble wrap, so they could have done better on the display for a gift. This is great for cooking and for bread dipping. Would buy again for sure!

I gave this as a gift to my parents for their combined birthdays. They have mostly all that they need, so this worked out well. They told me that they were impressed by this nice and practical gift! The cookbook on flavored oils went well with this too.

Bought these for a birthday present along with the Sango Splash eight Piece Dipping Set. It was a smash hit at the Birthday party and most of the dipping sauce was gone by the end of the night. Makes a great gift.

BOTH of my adult children, who love to cook, were recently diagnosed with high cholesterol in spite of the fact that they have always eaten healthy and are physically fit. I came across this item while trying to find a Christmas gift to support their efforts to correct their problem without resorting to prescription drugs. They love it. They don't feel that they have compromised flavor for butter. In fact, they like it more. My son cooked me a dinner of grilled rockfish that he had coated with the garlic olive oil and a little sea salt and cracked pepper. Marvelous. After a squeeze of lemon, it needed nothing else. He added a touch of the of the truffle flavored olive oil to the rice/pilaf instead of butter. Terrific. Great meal.
But, the vendor is the best. My daughter's gift arrived with 2 garlic olive oils instead of the basil. I contacted the vendor with an urgent SOS. They overnighted me the basil flavored olive oil and allow me to keep the extra garlic one. They also came through for me this week when I needed an urgent delivery for my sister's birthday because I am snowed in.
Now I am trying the olive oil soap products for my daughter in Colorado. Her skin is very dry and she lives in a harsh climate. I heard on the Today Show that olive oil is the best moisturizer for very dry skin. I will post her review of her gift after she tries it out.
