5Taylor Ham -- Amazing TasteMay 31, 2006
By Greg Bahue "g"
Taylor ham was part of my childhood growing up in New Jersey. Every diner on Route 9, 35 and 36 served it. I thought it was a national product. But NOOOOO. You can only get it on the east coast. For years I have had it sent to me in California from NJ family members. For those who dont know, Taylor Ham is seasoned to perfection and is slightly salty. Fried with eggs it is remarkable. A three pound roll will last a long time as you only need a 1/2" disk to satisfy. Happy eating! g

5A Bit PriceyMar 23, 2010

Unique. Without comparison. Nothing like it out here on the Left Coast. When friends come from The Islands, they want to take this stuff back to Oahu. But WTF? $200 for 4 rolls? How can you not choke when you're paying $50 a roll for Taylor Ham? That's like me bringing Spam from Hawaii, and charging $25 a can in Philly. Now take a look at how much it cost to buy Scrapple on Amazon. Are you kidding me with this?

Great product. If your from the north east and moved south like me you will love being able to have access to your favorite pork roll. Doesn't matter how much it cost if you love and miss a little bit of home. Surely brought me back to my hometown with every bite.

5Taylor Pork Roll is the Best!Sep 19, 2011

Like others here, I grew up in NJ and Taylor Pork Roll was a breakfast staple for the family, especially when down at the beach in south Jersey during the summer. Now that I live in SC, I miss it terribly.

Occasionally work will take me to NJ and I'll buy however many I can fit in my suitcase. Before leaving town, I'll put them in the office freezer overnight so they're good for transport the next day when I head to the airport. I've made friends with many of the TSA guys in various airports just by saying "I've got Taylor Pork Roll in my suitcase." They "get it" and laugh. One even remarked that "[you'd] be surprised how many of those things come through here!"
