This popular coffee cake is made without preservatives from ingredients including fresh whole eggs, New Zealand Anchor butter, imported walnuts and a generous amount of premium five-year old, oak barrel aged Tortuga Gold Rum that is not sold to the public. Each coffeecake is individually hand-glazed with the rich rum sauce before being vacuum packed. There is perhaps not a better dessert than a slice of Tortuga Rum Cake, a dab of whipped cream, a few slices of fruit or fresh berries followed by a smooth cup of gourmet coffee or tea. Rum whipped cream is especially good with Tortuga Rum Cake. The two-pound cake serves approximately 10 - 12 and will keep six months - longer if refrigerated.
